Held in conjunction with the Illinois Pharmacy Resident Conference, May 17th. 

ASHP Residency Program Design and Conduct (RPDC) Workshop is intended for Residency Program Directors and Residency Leaders.

Separate registration is required for each event.

Registration is limited to 65 participants. Please bring your electronic device to the workshop to access the workshop handout and slides, and your program materials during the workshop (if appropriate).


Description and Objectives:
The ASHP Residency Program Design and Conduct Workshop focuses on the review of the accreditation standard for the design and conduct of a pharmacy residency program. Objectives of the Workshop include:

  • Identify, describe, and apply the accreditation requirements related to:
  • The Accreditation Standard
  • residency program purpose;
  • program structure;
  • learning experiences;
  • preceptor roles, feedback and evaluation;
  • resident development plans; and
  • continuous residency program improvement.

The Workshop is designed for residency program directors, coordinators, preceptors, and residents from all types of PGY1 and PGY2 residency programs.
