Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this knowledge-based continuing pharmacy education activity, pharmacist participants should be able to:

1. Explain the benefits of intrathecal pain pumps compared to other forms of pain management.
2. Recognize medications that can be delivered via intrathecal pain pumps.
3. Identify potential challenges in intrathecal delivery of medications.

      Target Audience: This knowledge-based activity was developed for Health-System Pharmacists

      PTCB requires CPhTs to submit 20 hours of pharmacy technician-specific (‘T-specific’) continuing pharmacy education (CPE) to qualify for recertification. Please advise all pharmacy technicians at your site of this change. As an ACPE accredited provider, ICHP will continue to include Technician specific programming in most if not all of our CPE programming.  For PTCB recertification, CPhTs may use up to 5 hours of P-specific credit hours and CPhT-Adv up to 10 hours of P-specific credit hours.
