Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this knowledge-based continuing pharmacy education activity, pharmacist participants should be able to:
  1. Discuss management of respiratory arrest due to opioid or benzodiazepine overdose using the 2023 AHA Cardiac Arrest Poisoning Guideline
  2. Describe updates in the 2023 AHA Cardiac Arrest Poisoning Guideline for treatment of beta-blocker and calcium channel blocker toxicity
  3. Identify Class 1 antidote management recommendations for the common substance-induced poisonings highlighted in the 2023 AHA Cardiac Arrest Poisoning Guideline
