Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this knowledge-based continuing pharmacy education activity, pharmacist participants should be able to:
- Discuss management of respiratory arrest due to opioid or benzodiazepine overdose using the 2023 AHA Cardiac Arrest Poisoning Guideline
- Describe updates in the 2023 AHA Cardiac Arrest Poisoning Guideline for treatment of beta-blocker and calcium channel blocker toxicity
- Identify Class 1 antidote management recommendations for the common substance-induced poisonings highlighted in the 2023 AHA Cardiac Arrest Poisoning Guideline
