Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this application-based continuing pharmacy education activity, pharmacist participants should be able to:

1. Assess whether anticoagulant reversal is necessary in the setting of an acute bleed.
2. Compare and contrast the reversal agents andexanet alfa and 4-factor prothrombin complex concentrate for the reversal of direct oral anticoagulants.
3. Formulate an appropriate direct oral anticoagulant reversal strategy.

      PTCB requires CPhTs to submit 20 hours of pharmacy technician-specific (‘T-specific’) continuing pharmacy education (CPE) to qualify for recertification. Please advise all pharmacy technicians at your site of this change. As an ACPE accredited provider, ICHP will continue to include Technician specific programming in most if not all of our CPE programming.  For PTCB recertification, CPhTs may use up to 5 hours of P-specific credit hours and CPhT-Adv up to 10 hours of P-specific credit hours.
