At the conclusion of this knowledge-based continuing pharmacy education activity, pharmacist participants should be able to:
1. Identify complications that result from lipid emulsion therapy for local anesthetic toxicity (LAST).
2. Describe when to consider lipid emulsion therapy for drug overdose(s).
3. Review case reports on local anesthetics and non-local anesthetic toxicity.

As an ACPE accredited provider, ICHP will continue to include Technician specific programming in most if not all of our CPE programming. For PTCB recertification, CPhTs may use up to 5 hours of P-specific credit hours and CPhT-Adv up to 10 hours of P-specific credit hours.
