Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this knowledge-based continuing pharmacy education activity, pharmacist participants should be able to:

1. Discuss the 2020 Clinical practice guideline on alcohol withdrawal management.
2. Review primary literature regarding the use of baclofen in patients with severe alcohol withdrawal.
3. Define the role of phenobarbital in patients with complicated alcohol withdrawal.
4. Identify appropriate agents to use as add-on therapy in patients with acute alcohol withdrawal.

As an ACPE accredited provider, ICHP will continue to include Technician specific programming in most if not all of our CPE programming.
