Learning Objectives for Pharmacists:
- Describe the differences in guideline recommendations regarding LDL targets and monitoring.
- Review the correlation between LDL levels, carfiovascular outcomes, and neurocognitive effects.
- Considering both clinical and financial factors, select patients in which additional non-statin therapy is appropriate.
Learning Objectives for Pharmacy Technicians:
- Describe risks and benefits of medically lowering LDL levels.
- Identify guideline-directed medication options for non-statin therapy use.
- Discuss potential barriers for a patient to access and fill a prescription for a non-statin agent.

Target Audience: Health-System Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians
PTCB requires CPhTs to submit 20 hours of pharmacy technician-specific (T-specific) continuing pharmacy education (CPE) to qualify for recertification. Pharmacy technicians will no long be able to use Pharmacist only or P-specific CPE. In addition, PTCB will reduce the number of allowable CPE hours earned through in-service training from 10 to 5. Please advise all pharmacy technicians at your site of this pending change. As an ACPE accredited provider, ICHP will continue to include Technician specific programming in most if not all of our CPE programming.

However, those who do not attend and do not cancel at least 48 hours prior to the program will be charged $50 to cover expenses. If you do attend the meeting or cancel in the specified time, you will not be charged a fee. Seating is limited.
