PHARMACIST SUPERVISOR

McKinley Health Center, the student health service at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign is currently seeking a highly motivated, patient-focused manager to join our pharmacy team. You will play a key role in our ambulatory health center, serving as a supervising pharmacist and a dispensing pharmacist to a student population of 46,000. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast paced, college health setting. The pharmacy processes over 100,000 prescriptions a year with no Medicare Part D billing.

The pharmacy supervisor will be responsible for the operational management of the pharmacy as well as developing the strategic direction, establishing the budget and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
This is a full-time, 12 month Academic Professional position. Salary is competitive and includes a very attractive, comprehensive University benefits package including a state retirement benefit plan. Minimum requirements include a B.S. in Pharmacy and a current Illinois pharmacist registration (or eligibility). Licensed as a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D), preferred. Must have five years' experience working as a pharmacist and three years of relevant administrative experience. Also required is the ability to counsel students and consult with clinicians in regards to drug therapy, drug interactions and side effects. Must demonstrate excellent human relation skills. Ability to organize, plan direct and evaluate Pharmacy programs. Knowledge in pharmacy economics and business practices. Ability to express complex ideas in a clear fashion in both written and oral communications.
