Description Chicago State University College of Pharmacy (CSU-COP) invites applications for position of Director, Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE). The successful applicant will serve as part of a multidisciplinary team with the opportunity to participate in the continued growth of a college of pharmacy which graduated its fifth class in May 2016. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities The Director of APPE is responsible for the planning, managing and implementing programs, initiatives and processes to ensure a high quality professional practice program that meets the College’s educational mission, goals, and Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) standards. The Director of APPE assists in maintaining affiliations with a sufficient number of licensed pharmacists and other practitioners (as applicable) who satisfy the criteria for an adjunct faculty appointment. Didactic and/or laboratory instruction in the curriculum is expected. In addition, the Director of APPE will perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant/Associate Dean for Experiential and Continuing Professional Education.

Requirements Qualified applicants should possess a PharmD degree and/or be licensed (or eligible for licensure) as a pharmacist in Illinois. All candidates should exhibit strong verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. In addition, a commitment to student-centered education, demonstrable promotion, and enhancement of diversity is required. Candidates with experience in the development and maintenance of experiential education training sites, academic/teaching experience or board certification are preferred.
