ICHP was saddened to learn of the passing of our member, Dylan Benet Marx, 31, of Brookfield, Illinois.

Dylan passed away on August 28, 2017. He was the beloved son of Peggy Susan Bickham, also a member of ICHP.

"Deciding to change careers, in 2012 Dylan attended the Pharmacy Technician program at South Suburban College, graduating and passing the national certification exam in 2013. He started working at University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System in the ambulatory care pharmacy in 2013 as a trainee, moving up quickly to Pharmacy Technician II level. He loved and was proud of the pharmacy profession and his job, and coworkers say that he was good at everything he did. He was detail-oriented, conscientious, and knowledgeable at every task, took on extra duties, was a thorough and patient teacher/trainer and an all-around go-to person. His supervisor praised his team spirit, thoughtfulness, work ethic, accountability, support, and dedication to the pharmacy, his coworkers and patient care.... He enjoyed learning and attending professional conferences and lectures, and was proud to be a member of Illinois Council of Health-System Pharmacists."
