Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this application-based continuing pharmacy education activity, pharmacist participants should be able to:
1. Differentiate the appropriate population to receive tranexamic acid based on literature and available guidelines.
2. Analyze how timing of tranexamic acid administration is an important factor in therapy.
3. Develop dosing recommendations for both adults and children who are appropriate for treatment with tranexamic acid.
4. Create an argument for tranexamic acid use in the appropriate population after evaluating potential safety concerns in comparison to outcomes data.

PTCB requires CPhTs to submit 20 hours of pharmacy technician-specific (‘T-specific’) continuing pharmacy education (CPE) to qualify for recertification. Please advise all pharmacy technicians at your site of this change. As an ACPE accredited provider, ICHP will continue to include Technician specific programming in most if not all of our CPE programming. For PTCB recertification, CPhTs may use up to 5 hours of P-specific credit hours and CPhT-Adv up to 10 hours of P-specific credit hours.
